160,000 militiamen were called together around Boston to defend the British, and they experienced the bloodiest conflict in North America. Colonel William Prescott told his men to fortify Bunker Hill, but his men got Breed's Hill by mistake, and British wanted to clean the Americans on that hill, but British suffered from the huge loss of people and deadly fire. Because the American defenders were out of armor at last, they fought against the British with bayonets. Although Americans lost the hill after the battle but it showed that these militia were brave and dared to fight the British, George Washington had found the hope of Americans.
