The Sugar Act

The Sugar Act of 1764. The British empire thought Americans should pay the money for peace and defending other empires. So Grenville asked Parliament to pass the Sugar Act, and at the same time, the old Molasses Act had been replaced ,because it had caused a lot of trouble to the colonists. The Sugar Act, as the enhance the Molasses Act ,Grenville used this to regulate the American trade and made money from it.
The Stamp Act

For taxing the commodities of colonists, the Stamp Act was made by the British government on March ,1765 and it means to make taxes on things that Americans used. For example, the tax on newspaper, magazines. However ,of course it was difficult to control the act from England thousand miles away, even though some colonists were willing to pay. Grenville also wanted to regulate the trade in the colonies and more tightly. These actions made American colonists realized the loss of their independence and freedom in trade.
